Jack knows that finding a trustworthy provider is essential, not just for the quality of the container, but also for the reliability of service and support. As companies continue to expand their reach internationally, the significance of container shipping grows even more. The demand for shipping containers has surged in recent years, emerging as a cost-effective and environmentally friendly option for a range of commercial and even personal needs.
Finding secure storage for your business tools, equipment, or personal belongings has never been more straightforward. When we speak to our clients about their shipping container experience, they often cite benefits like:
One of the main reasons shipping containers are favored across various industries is their remarkable durability. Like ConradCaldwell House Museum in Louisville, KY, these containers are engineered to endure the harsh conditions of the open sea, including fierce storms, strong winds, and extreme cold temperatures.
Constructed from steel, shipping containers are coated with a specialized paint that safeguards against corrosion, ensuring they remain reliable for many years. Additionally, each container is capable of supporting heavy loads and can be stacked efficiently, maximizing space during transport.
One of the biggest benefits of shipping containers is their versatility. While freight containers are great for storage, they can also serve as office spaces. In fact, with a little creativity, you can use your shipping container as both an office and a storage area. Blairworx Solutions' shipping containers for sale are great for a range of uses in many industries, including:
When it comes to shipping containers, the main replacement you'll need to think about every few years is the door gaskets. Shipping containers are designed for low maintenance, but it's still important to carry out an annual inspection to check for any areas where rust might start to form.
Shipping containers are delivered by truck. Before unloading, make sure there's enough space for the truck to drop off the container. At Blairworx, our team is happy to help you assess how much room you need for a shipping container drop-off. A good rule of thumb is to allow an area about twice the length of the container, with extra room in a straight line. For optimal placement, containers should be on level ground, especially in areas prone to flooding, where elevation is key.
A shipping container is an excellent solution for storing your products, important documents, valuable equipment, and just about anything else that matters to you. Unlike other companies that provide standard storage options, we offer fully customizable solutions designed to meet your unique needs.
Need a mobile office for your business in The Palmetto State? Perhaps you're working on a large construction project for several months and require a secure place for your tools. If you and your family are renovating your home and need a clean, dry space for clothes and other belongings, look no further. But if you have long-lasting storage needs, it could be time to explore a more affordable solution.
Twenty years ago, shipping containers were not easily attainable for the average person. Nowadays, you can buy a container from Blairworx and have it delivered right to your business or home on the same day. In many parts of the United States, a 20ft shipping container-which provides long-lasting solutions for building, storage, and shipping-can be purchased for less than what you would pay for a year of traditional climate-controlled storage.
When thinking about storage options, money is often a big factor in making a choice. At first, renting a storage unit might seem like a simpler and cheaper option because there aren't many costs upfront. But if you look at the big picture, buying a storage container from Blairworx Solutions can save you more money in the long run. When you own a shipping container, you pay once instead of making regular rental payments that can add up over time.
One of the best things about having your own storage container is how flexible it is. Unlike traditional storage units that are stuck in one place, a container from Blairworx can be set up exactly where you want it. This makes it very easy to access your goods when you need them. This feature is especially helpful for business owners who need to grab their items often or need storage closer to their storefront or office.
It doesn't take a graduate from University of Louisville in Louisville, KY, to know that shipping containers play a major role in the realm of transportation and solutions. LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Gas prices in west central Kentucky climbed by eight cents this week to an average of $2.613 per gallon, according to an AAA release.
The average price per gallon across the U.S. also went up this week to $2.99, AAA added. Today's national average is 12 cents more than a month ago but 10 cents fewer than a year ago.
AAA said amid the recent conflict in Iran, any disruption to its oil infrastructure could have consequences as it's a key player in the oil market. If the Strait of Hormuz, which connects the Persian Gulf to open waters, is blocked, it could send a ripple effect across the world.
"Oil is part of a global market, which means when there's a shortfall in one part of the world, it affects other parts, too," AAA said.
In addition, AAA said refineries are starting to produce summer-blend gasoline, which contains pricier additives to reduce evaporation during warmer months. Demand is expected to keep climbing as spring break season kicks off and more drivers hit the road.
AAA added that new data from the Energy Information Administration shows gasoline demand decreased last week from 8.74 million barrels per day to 8.73 million. Domestic gasoline supply also declined from 255.8 million barrels to 254.8 million. Gasoline production decreased last week to 9.2 million barrels per day.
The national average per kilowatt hour of electricity at a public EV charging station remains at 38 cents.
Here's a look at the average price of unleaded self-serve gasoline in various cities, according to AAA:

So good, it would bring a tear to a bald eagle’s eye.
There’s nothing quite like our nation’s anthem. The playing of “The Star Spangled Banner” before sporting events is one of my favorite parts about attending games in person. Nothing beats rising up with your fellow Americans, placing your hand over your heart, and taking in the national anthem as a collective group. For those couple of minutes, there aren’t fans of this team and that team… there’s only one team: America.
Gives me chills every time.
And I only bring up sporting events because that’s traditionally one of the only places you’ll hear the “Star Spangled Banner” live. That being said, the song is sometimes performed elsewhere, and today, I’m directing your attention to one of those elsewheres. It’s a tradition in my home state of Kentucky that I never get tired of.
Every year around January or February, the Kentucky Music Educators get together for a convention in Louisville, Kentucky. Most of the convention’s attendees stay at the Louisville Hyatt, which is a hotel arranged in a way where the middle of the building is entirely open, and all of the rooms are positioned on the perimeter of the hotel.
I only mention that because it makes for a) the perfect place for singers to stand near the railing on each floor and b) makes for some wonderful acoustics. There’s a good chance you’ve seen one of these videos before, and if you have, that’s okay… just enjoy it again. Basically, all of the singers (and there’s a lot because it’s a Kentucky Music Educators convention) organize a time to get together and sing a song that fills up the entirety of the hotel.
What song do they go with? Well, in terms of songs that everyone knows the words to, the “Star Spangled Banner” is probably the most well-known (maybe besides Garth’s “Friends in Low Places”). So they go with that one, they all gather on the balconies of the Louisville Hyatt, and they lay down an a cappella rendition of America’s national anthem that is almost certain to give you some patriotic chills.
It sounds amazing through video… and I can only imagine how goose-bump-inducing it must be to witness the performance in person when all of the singers get going:
“Thousands of high school students attending the Kentucky Music Educators convention in Louisville perform the National Anthem. It’s a nightly tradition at the Louisville Hyatt that moves spectators each year.”

If that doesn’t make you proud to be an American, I’m not sure what will.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WAVE) - Gary Clemons, who won a special election to represent part of the south end in the Kentucky Senate, may be new to politics, but that hasn’t stopped him from filing pieces of legislation he thinks will make a difference.
Kentucky’s right-to-work law, passed in 2017, does not require everyone who works for a union shop to join or financially support a union, which some say weakens unions overall.
Clemons has filed Senate Bill 161, which would repeal that law.
“For me, to repeal right-to-work, you know, it’s my first bill, and the bill is at the core of what I believe in, the bill is at the core of why I ran,” said Clemons.
Before Clemons was a senator, he was a member of a union, and still serves as president of Louisville’s chapter of United Steelworkers Local.
For him, the right-to-work law hits home because he knows what contributing to a union can do.
“Those dues go to training our members, training union leaders to be educated well enough to sit down with a company, sit in on, you know, safety committees to make sure we’re working with a company that makes sure everybody’s safe,” said Clemons.
But the right-to-work law says people are allowed to work under contracts and benefits negotiated by unions without being members of the unions themselves. And, companies in Louisville have certainly felt the impacts.
“It’s a blow to organized labor,” said Avral Thompson, president of Teamsters Local 89. “We actually have to represent these people that choose not to be a member. We still have to represent them under our contracts through arbitration if need be, and we use the resources provided by dues-paying members to represent those people.”
Thompson has been a part of that union since the late 90s. While he says Teamsters Local prioritizes showing members the benefits of being in a union, some of the shops in the union do have right-to-work members.
“It affects our effectiveness at a bargaining table for a contract,” said Thompson.
For Clemons, the bill is all about strength in numbers and making sure working people have a seat at the table against billion-dollar corporations.
“We just want the fair shake to be able to raise our children, have a little bit of extra money at the end, maybe buy a better vehicle, be able to retire with dignity, go on a vacation once, maybe twice a year,” Clemons said. “We’re not getting wealthy, we’re not getting rich.”
Kentucky’s right-to-work law did come under scrutiny after it was passed, but a 2018 state supreme court decision ruled that the law does not violate Kentucky’s constitution.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville football program's momentum with recruiting the Class of 2027 doesn't seem to be slowing down, this time landing another one of the top prospects in both the city and state.
Defensive lineman Sebastian Blue, who plays here in the Derby City at Trinity HS, announced Saturday that he has given his verbal pledge to the Cardinals. His commitment to Louisville comes during his visit to the program's annual Junior Day.
He's the second local pickup in the 2027 cycle for Louisville. Elite cornerback Allen Evans IV, a teammate of Blue's at Trinity, committed to Louisville earlier this month. Blue also held offers from App State, FAU, Southern Miss, FIU and Eastern Kentucky.
The 6-foot-3, 270-pound tackle/edge was a critical component for a Trinity team that went 13-2 and won the Class 6A state championship. He finished his junior year with 39 tackles, seven for loss nine sacks and a fumble recovery. The year before as a sophomore in 2024, he collected 21 tackles, two for loss, seven sacks and two fumble recoveries - one of which went for a touchdown.
Blue is regarded as the No. 8 prospect in the Commonwealth and 42nd-ranked defensive lineman in the 2027 cycle, according the On3/Rivals' in-house rankings. The Rivals Industry Ranking tabs him as the No. 747 prospect in the nation.
Blue is the fifth Class of 2027 prospect to the commit to the Cardinals. He joins Evans, Lizton (Ind.) Tri-West quarterback Jack Sorgi, Cincinnati (Oh.) wide receiver Chuck Alexander and Cleveland (Oh.) Villa Angela-St. Joseph tight end D'Angelo White. All four aforementioned are top-300 prospects according to the 247Sports Composite, which has helped UofL sport the No. 12 overall class up to this point.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Mikel Brown Jr. scored 20 points off the bench, Isaac McKneely added 14 and No. 20 Louisville used a 10-0 second-half run to rally past SMU 88-74 on Saturday.
The Cardinals (15-6, 5-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) overcame a cold start and 47-44 halftime deficit to take their first lead at 55-53 on Kobe Rodgers' transition layup with 14:37 remaining. SMU eventually went ahead 62-61, but Aly Khalifa (eight points) scored five during their pivotal spurt and Louisville steadily stretched the lead to bounce back from Monday night's 83-52 rout at No. 4 Duke.
Mustangs guard Boopie Miller, the ACC's No. 4 scorer, had 20 points for his 28th consecutive double-digit scoring game. SMU (15-6, 4-4) entered the game with the league's top offense (87.3 points per game) and had won its past two.
Louisville entered averaging 86 points and reached that mark behind 52% shooting after halftime and 49% overall. The Cardinals' bench provided the biggest boost, dominating the Mustangs 47-5 while holding them to 37% shooting in the second half.
Brown regrouped from 1-of-13 shooting against the Blue Devils to make 7 of 14 from the field with three 3-pointers. The heralded freshman guard also had three rebounds and four assists.
McKneely made 5 of 10 with four 3s, Khani Rooths and Ryan Conwell added 12 points and J'Vonne Hadley had 10.
SMU made 4 of its first 5 3s and 5 of 9 shots overall for a 14-4 lead and 47-44 advantage at the break behind 59% shooting. Louisville overcame a 4-of-12 shooting start to close the first half 13 of 24.
SMU hosts North Carolina State on Tuesday.
Louisville hosts Notre Dame on Wednesday.
