As companies continue to expand their reach internationally, the significance of container shipping grows even more. The demand for shipping containers has surged in recent years, emerging as a cost-effective and environmentally friendly option for a range of commercial and even personal needs.
Finding secure storage for your business tools, equipment, or personal belongings has never been more straightforward. Blairworx Solutions stands out as the top provider of new and used shipping containers for sale. Whether your needs are for storage, transportation, construction, or creative projects, investing in a shipping container provides a reliable and sustainable option you can count on.
When we speak to our clients about their shipping container experience, they often cite benefits like:
One of the main reasons shipping containers are favored across various industries is their remarkable durability. Like The Boyhood Home of President Woodrow Wilson in Augusta, GA, these containers are engineered to endure the harsh conditions of the open sea, including fierce storms, strong winds, and extreme cold temperatures.
Constructed from steel, shipping containers are coated with a specialized paint that safeguards against corrosion, ensuring they remain reliable for many years. Additionally, each container is capable of supporting heavy loads and can be stacked efficiently, maximizing space during transport.
One of the biggest benefits of shipping containers is their versatility. While freight containers are great for storage, they can also serve as office spaces. In fact, with a little creativity, you can use your shipping container as both an office and a storage area. Blairworx Solutions' shipping containers for sale are great for a range of uses in many industries, including:
When it comes to shipping containers, the main replacement you'll need to think about every few years is the door gaskets. Shipping containers are designed for low maintenance, but it's still important to carry out an annual inspection to check for any areas where rust might start to form.
Shipping containers are delivered by truck. Before unloading, make sure there's enough space for the truck to drop off the container. At Blairworx, our team is happy to help you assess how much room you need for a shipping container drop-off. A good rule of thumb is to allow an area about twice the length of the container, with extra room in a straight line. For optimal placement, containers should be on level ground, especially in areas prone to flooding, where elevation is key.
A shipping container is an excellent solution for storing your products, important documents, valuable equipment, and just about anything else that matters to you. Unlike other companies that provide standard storage options, we offer fully customizable solutions designed to meet your unique needs.
Need a mobile office for your business in The Palmetto State? Perhaps you're working on a large construction project for several months and require a secure place for your tools. If you and your family are renovating your home and need a clean, dry space for clothes and other belongings, look no further. A storage container from Blairworx is just what you need to solve your storage challenges.

But if you have long-lasting storage needs, it could be time to explore a more affordable solution.
Twenty years ago, shipping containers were not easily attainable for the average person. Nowadays, you can buy a container from Blairworx and have it delivered right to your business or home on the same day. In many parts of the United States, a 20ft shipping container-which provides long-lasting solutions for building, storage, and shipping-can be purchased for less than what you would pay for a year of traditional climate-controlled storage.
When thinking about storage options, money is often a big factor in making a choice. At first, renting a storage unit might seem like a simpler and cheaper option because there aren't many costs upfront. But if you look at the big picture, buying a storage container from Blairworx Solutions can save you more money in the long run. When you own a shipping container, you pay once instead of making regular rental payments that can add up over time.
One of the best things about having your own storage container is how flexible it is. Unlike traditional storage units that are stuck in one place, a container from Blairworx can be set up exactly where you want it. This makes it very easy to access your goods when you need them. This feature is especially helpful for business owners who need to grab their items often or need storage closer to their storefront or office.

A developer is proposing to build a $2 million solid waste transfer station in Augusta in 2026.
The project would be built at 927 Molly Pond Rd., a former fertilizer and agribusiness site at the tip of the city's Bethlehem neighborhood.
It would include a "truck maintenance facility and solid waste collections dispatch office," according to paperwork filed Wednesday with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. "Approximately 500 tons of solid waste per day or more will be unloaded from collection vehicles inside the transfer station for loading into semi-trailers to haul waste more efficiently to solid waste handling facilities."
Richmond County submitted a "Development of Regional Impact," or DRI, statement to the Georgia DCA. Georgia classifies DRIs as "large-scale developments that are likely to have regional effects beyond the local government jurisdiction in which they are located," according to the DCA.
Local governments eyeing large development opportunities are obligated to submit DRI information for state review under the Georgia Planning Act of 1989.
The listed developer is Atlantic Waste Services Inc. of Pooler. The filing detailed a 20,000-square-foot transfer station, and 3,500 square feet of offices and a machine shop.
The project's value at full build-out in 2028 is estimated at $2 million, and would generate $25,000 a year in property tax revenue and up to $40,000 in a one-time sales tax for truck and equipment purchases.
The owner is DM Property Holdings, which bought the property in May 2025 for $10 from Bamco Enterprises, which bought it for $10 in April 2025 from Got to Go Freight Logistics in what's called a "corp-to-corp" contractual agreement. To avoid foreclosure, property owners sometimes form limited-liability companies to deed property to another company, often for nominal fees.
The oldest owner on record for the property is International Minerals & Chemical Corp., which operated a fertilizer factory in Augusta dating back to at least 1960.
In 2007, forester Jack Mason established a pine straw processing facility at 927 Molly Pond. He had pivoted from the timber business to processing and selling pine needles colored red as a preservative to use in landscaping.

Augusta, GA is a strategically important economic center in eastern Georgia, anchored by healthcare systems, cybersecurity and defense-adjacent operations, advanced manufacturing, education, logistics, energy services, and public-sector institutions. With a growing technology footprint alongside long-established medical and industrial sectors, organizations in Augusta operate in environments where accuracy, documentation, and institutional credibility are essential. In this context, companies seeking the best press release agency in Augusta, GA increasingly rely on IndNewsWire for editorial-first, brand-safe press release distribution.
Augusta-based organizations regularly engage with healthcare providers, cybersecurity firms, manufacturers, educational institutions, municipal agencies, and regional investors. Press releases remain one of the most effective tools for communicating verified updates in a structured, professional format trusted by enterprise and institutional audiences.
Augusta's economy is driven by healthcare leadership, cybersecurity and defense-related services, manufacturing activity, higher education, and steady regional investment. Whether an organization is announcing clinical programs, research initiatives, technology deployments, workforce development efforts, facility expansions, or organizational updates, communication must be factual and well documented.
Press releases provide a standardized and auditable way to deliver this information. Unlike promotional messaging or informal digital updates, press releases establish a permanent public record. Once published on recognized news platforms, they become part of an organization's digital and institutional footprint. For Augusta organizations, this record supports credibility during regulatory reviews, partner diligence, funding discussions, and procurement processes.
Audiences in Augusta value clarity, accountability, and compliance awareness. Business readers often include healthcare administrators, cybersecurity professionals, educators, manufacturers, and public-sector stakeholders. Overly promotional language or unsupported claims can undermine trust in a city where governance standards, data integrity, and operational reliability are closely monitored.
The best press release agencies understand this environment. They emphasize editorial discipline, neutral tone, and accurate distribution. IndNewsWire aligns with Augusta's professional expectations by positioning press releases as informational assets rather than marketing copy.
IndNewsWire structures each press release to clearly explain what has occurred, why it matters, and how it fits within the organization's broader operational or strategic framework. The language remains factual, measured, and precise.
This editorial-first approach is particularly effective in Augusta, where press releases are often reviewed by legal teams, compliance officers, institutional partners, and executive leadership. Clear structure and neutral presentation signal professionalism, reliability, and long-term intent.
Distribution quality plays a critical role in press release effectiveness. IndNewsWire provides Augusta companies with access to recognized media environments that enhance credibility and discoverability.
Publishing a Press Release on Digital Journal enables organizations to reach readers who actively follow business developments, healthcare services, cybersecurity activity, and regional economic growth.
For organizations targeting financial and investment-focused audiences, a Press Release on Street Insider offers placement within a structured business and financial news environment. This is especially useful for Augusta firms sharing funding updates, technology investments, or long-term strategic initiatives.
Coverage is commonly referenced internally as a Digital Journal Press Release or a Street Insider Press Release across executive reporting, compliance documentation, and stakeholder communications.
In internal reporting and media documentation, platform names may appear in different but commonly accepted formats. IndNewsWire supports these variations to maintain clarity and consistency.
This includes references such as a Press Release on DigitalJournal and a Press Release on StreetInsider, helping Augusta organizations accurately track placements across departments.
Many Augusta-based organizations operate regionally, nationally, or internationally--particularly in healthcare services, cybersecurity, manufacturing, and education. Local visibility alone is often not sufficient.
IndNewsWire enables broader exposure through placements such as a Press Release on Big News Network and a Press Release on BigNewsNetwork, helping Augusta brands reach wider national and global business audiences.
Augusta's economy is closely tied to healthcare funding, technology investment, research grants, and public-sector budgets. Even privately held organizations benefit from appearing in finance-oriented media environments.
IndNewsWire supports this objective through distribution options such as a Press Release on Yahoo Finance. This ensures that when investors, analysts, lenders, or strategic partners research an Augusta-based organization, they encounter structured, verifiable information in a trusted financial news context.
Industries prominent in Augusta--particularly healthcare, cybersecurity, education, manufacturing, and public-sector services--operate under strict regulatory, security, and governance frameworks. In these sectors, accuracy and restraint are essential.
IndNewsWire minimizes reputational and compliance risk by prioritizing factual clarity, neutral language, and editorial consistency. Press releases are written to inform rather than persuade, helping organizations maintain trust while achieving meaningful visibility.
Each press release distributed through IndNewsWire contributes to a long-term archive of verified organizational updates. Over time, this strengthens search visibility, media trust, and institutional credibility.
For Augusta organizations managing recurring announcements, technology initiatives, or long-term growth strategies, this cumulative media footprint becomes a valuable strategic asset.
Selecting the best press release agency in Augusta, GA requires evaluating writing quality, distribution credibility, and long-term impact. IndNewsWire stands out by offering:
Augusta is a city defined by medical leadership, cybersecurity growth, and institutional responsibility within Georgia's economy. In such an environment, press releases must be accurate, credible, and professionally distributed to be effective. IndNewsWire delivers these essentials through structured writing and reliable media placement.
For organizations seeking the best press release agency in Augusta, GA, IndNewsWire provides a dependable pathway to visibility--helping businesses and institutions communicate important updates with clarity, confidence, and long-term credibility.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Augusta Transit riders are experiencing longer wait times and capacity issues after the city implemented 3% budget cuts across all departments last month.
The cuts removed $594,000 from Augusta Transit’s budget, forcing the system to reduce service from three buses per route to just one bus per route. The changes have stretched wait times to an hour and 20 minutes.
Alonza McGuire, who rides the bus daily, said he now has to plan his commute differently.
“I was leaving every 45 minutes, and now I have to get there an hour, hour and a half early,” McGuire said.
The reduced service has created unpredictable schedules for riders who depend on public transportation.
“They might come on time, they may not. So that means if they say an hour, the bus could be an hour and 30 minutes behind schedule,” McGuire said.
The scheduling issues forced James McNair to cut short an interview because he couldn’t risk missing his transfer.
“It can be better if they put more time in it,” McNair said before rushing to catch his bus. “I gotta go my bus is right there.”
McGuire said the changes create challenges for riders who cannot afford alternative transportation.
“Really, they should have left the buses like it was. Because now you’re causing people not to get to work on time, they gotta get up extra early to go. Extra early to come back home. If not they end up walking,” he said.
“A lot of people don’t got money to not walk and take a lyft. A lot of them don’t have money to take a uber. Or a taxi cab,” McGuire said.
The budget cuts decided in December took effect at the beginning of the year. There is no timeline for re-evaluating the funding cuts.

AUGUSTA, Ga. - U.S. flu infections showed signs of a slight decline last week, but health officials say it is not clear that this severe flu season has peaked.
This comes with Georgia and South Carolina among the hardest-hit states, with flu levels “very high,” according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
That’s the highest possible status on the CDC’s chart.
South Carolina reported overall decreases in lab tests and flu activity, but the state remains above the baseline of 3.7 percent. Current flu activity sits at 12.7 percent.
The good news is that the rate isn’t as bad for the Augusta area. The flu outbreak in the metro area is rated only as “high.”
Local officials hope to keep it that way.
The Richmond County Health Department is hosting a drive-thru flu vaccination clinic.
It will be from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Thursday at the East Central Public Health District Office, 1916 North Leg Road. Bring your driver’s license or state ID, as well as your insurance card if you have insurance.
Some measures show this season is already surpassing the flu epidemic of last winter, one of the harshest in recent history. And experts believe there is more suffering ahead.
One type of flu virus, called A H3N2, historically has caused the most hospitalizations and deaths in older people. So far this season, that is the type most frequently reported. Even more concerning, more than 91% of the H3N2 infections analyzed were a new version — known as the subclade K variant — that differs from the strain in this year’s flu shots.
The last flu season saw the highest overall flu hospitalization rate since the H1N1 flu pandemic 15 years ago. And child flu deaths reached 289, the worst recorded for any U.S. flu season this century — including that H1N1 “swine flu” pandemic of 2009-2010.
So far this season, there have been at least 15 million flu illnesses and 180,000 hospitalizations, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates. It also estimates there have been 7,400 deaths, including the deaths of at least 17 children.
Determining exactly how flu season is going can be particularly tricky around the holidays. Schools are closed, and many people are traveling. Some people may be less likely to see a doctor, deciding to just suffer at home. Others may be more likely to go.
Also, some seasons see a surge in cases, then a decline, and then a second surge.
Dr. Martha Buchanan with South Carolina Department of Public Health agrees the flu season is far from over.
“Here in South Carolina, we traditionally kind of see it start to slow down at the beginning of the year, January, February. But then we sometimes will also see a second peak in March or late February,” said Buchanan, director of the agency’s Bureau of Communicable Disease Prevention and Control.
“We don’t always come down as quickly as we go up.”
Flu symptoms and their severity can vary, but generally include fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue.
Some people are at higher risk of developing serious complications if they get sick. This includes people 65 years and older, people of any age with certain chronic medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease, pregnant women, and children younger than 5 years, but especially those younger than 2 years old.
In some cases, health care providers may recommend prescription antiviral drugs to treat the flu.
There are other tried and true measures you can take to help prevent the spread of flu:
For more information on signs and symptoms of the flu, visit www.cdc.gov/flu/signs-symptoms/index.html
The flu flare-up comes as parents and school districts in Georgia and South Carolina are taking extra precautions with kids returning to classrooms after a holiday break.
School districts said they’re working closely with health officials to monitor, report, and manage respiratory illnesses and outbreaks.
In addition to working with health officials, school districts are distributing fliers to employees and families with important guidance to help reduce the spread of respiratory illnesses.
If your child becomes sick or starts showing symptoms — such as fever, cough, sore throat or runny nose — health officials recommend that they stay home for at least 24 hours after the fever has resolved.
“Wearing masks, washing hands, good cough etiquette... those are very basic things, but very important, but the flu vaccine is most important still, even if it’s not a perfect match,” said Dr. Supriya Mannepalli, an infectious disease specialist in Georgia.
In South Carolina, pediatric infectious disease specialist Stephen Thacker said:
“Don’t send kids to school sick. We know as we concentrate kids in school and group environments that it’s very easy to share these viruses and create more infections in our community.”
